TEAS Information for BSN Admittance

This web page is provided by HPU’s Testing Center to address inquiries we most frequently receive.  Before registering for a TEAS exam, please read the information below completely.  If your questions remain unanswered, email the Testing Center at assesment@hpu.edu.

All Pre-Nursing and Nursing Students who need to take the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) as part of the eligibility process for Level One Placement (NUR 2950-2971).

The TEAS is a computer-administered timed test created and maintained by ATI Nursing Education consisting of 170 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English & Language Usage.  Examinees are allotted 209 minutes.  For students who took the TEAS exam elsewhere, you will need to log into ATI and request scores to be sent to "HAWAII PACIFIC U" through their online system.  There is a cost associated with this service.

In addition, all nursing applicants must log into ATI and download the best score report within the past year.  This score report MUST then be manually uploaded to your nursing application. Please contact the College of Health and Society or your Nursing Advisor for deadlines and assistance.

The TEAS FEE IS $90.00 and must be paid through the downtown HPU bookstore or by credit or debit card through HPU’s ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM PRIOR to your test date.  Include your name and HPU student ID# on the receipt, and bring it with you on exam day.

  1. SUBMIT PAYMENT: See above.
  2. SELECT AN EXAM DATE: ATI TEAS Testing Dates and TEAS Exam Registration.
  3. CREATE AN ACCOUNT: Click “Create an Account.” Under “Institution” select Hawaii Pacific U (HPU) and enter your Student ID number.
  4. CURRENT HPU STUDENTS: Set up your Network/Wireless Login through HPU Pipeline. Click “Tech Support” TAB, scroll down to Network/Wireless Account Control Panel and fill out the form to activate your account. Contact servicedesk@hpu.edu, call 808-566-2411 or go to one of the computer labs on campus for assistance. 
  5. NON-HPU STUDENTS will receive a generic login when they arrive on exam day.

Arrive 15 minutes early

Must present one (1) form of valid government-issued identification with a current photograph, signature, and permanent address (Driver's License, State ID, Passport, etc.).

Submit an original paper copy of your payment receipt (electronic and photocopied versions are not accepted)
