ECONOMICS PROFESSOR PARTICIPATES IN CONFERENCE FUNDED BY A FELLOWSHIP

Associate Professor of Economics and Assistant Dean, College of Business, Noelia R. Paez, Ph.D., participated in “'The Pandemic Divide Conference: How COVID Increased Inequality in America,” a conference held October 25-27 at Duke University’s Samuel Dubois Cook Center on Social Equity in Durham, North Carolina. The conference explored COVID-19’s impact on wealth, entrepreneurship, health, housing, employment, and education, with an emphasis on solutions.

Diversity Initiative for Tenure in Economics Fellowship, DITE, funded Paez’s participation in the conference. DITE provides its fellows with sustained mentorship from distinguished professors of economics and vertical integration into research projects. Supportive mentors share their professional networks, experience, and guidance.
