Throughout July, HPU's Military Campus Programs (MCP) Admissions Team participated in two major military-community events, connecting with service members, veterans, and their families while sharing information about academic programs, admissions pathways, and student support services.
At the Independence Day Celebration at Schofield Barracks on July 4, which drew more than 40,000 military service members, retirees, and family members, attendees expressed strong interest in HPU offerings related to Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Nursing and other health-related fields, Biology, Marine Biology, and Environmental Studies. Conversations with prospective students also highlighted interest in online and hybrid learning options for science-related programs.
The team's outreach continued on July 12 at the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard's 2nd Annual Support Services Showcase (Ka Huakaʻi "The Journey"), attended by approximately 660 soldiers and family members. Interest at the event centered on Cybersecurity, General Studies, and Nursing and other health-related fields, while discussions also reflected demand for online and hybrid Engineering opportunities among individuals from Hawaiʻi's neighbor islands.
Together, the events strengthened HPU's partnerships across Hawaiʻi's military community and expanded awareness of educational opportunities available through the university.
