Hawai‘i Pacific University offers additional student housing for the 2021-2022 year at the Park Shore Waikiki Hotel, across the street from Waikiki Beach and a short HPU-shuttle bus ride away from campus. Kapi‘olani Park, Diamond Head, The Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, and the Waikiki Shell are steps away. There is also a Starbucks in the Park Shore as well as a convenience store, Denny’s Restaurant, Tucker & Bevy, Teddy’s Burgers, and several other grab and go food or sit down dining options very close by. Diamond Head Theatre, Kahala Mall, and a Farmer’s Market each Saturday morning at the foot of Diamond Head are nearby places where students will also enjoy visiting.  Check out this video on the Park Shore Waikiki.

HPU has arranged for the exclusive use of floors of the Park Shore to accommodate student housing.  The double-occupancy rooms are 285 square-feet and will have two desks and two full-size beds. Each room has a private bathroom and will be equipped with a mini-refrigerator and microwave oven. In addition, students residing at the Park Shore for the 2021-2022 year will enjoy: 

  • Weekly light room cleanings
  • Weekly delivery of fresh linens 
  • Access to the hotel fitness room, recreation room, and pool 
  • Complimentary coffee available in the morning 
  • Wash-and-fold laundry service for an extra charge 
  • Parking available for an extra charge 
  •  

Housing and Residence Life staff will reside at the Park Shore Waikiki. Park Shore residents will participate in onsite programs and activities coordinated by Housing and Residence Life staff, and have access to university events to meet and make friends at the university.   

In addition to the HPU campus shuttle, students may catch a city bus two blocks away from the Park Shore with a direct route to downtown where HPU’s classes are held. TheBus, as it’s known, has routes that cover all of O‘ahu, including a popular Beach Bus, and HPU students receive a free, unlimited pass to ride. The Biki Bike program includes several bike-share stations near the Park Shore as well.

Step 2 - Go to the Housing Portal and click "Housing Application" in the top menu to start your application.*

*Please note your housing application is not accessible until after you have submitted your Intent to Enroll form and Enrollment Deposit and no sooner than November 2.

Spring 2022 - January 6, 2022 (Thursday; for Spring only residents)
