Our Marine Debris Circularity Academy is dedicated to
sharing knowledge to promote circular economy practices for plastic in Hawaiʻi and beyond.
CIRCULAR ECONOMYOur Short Courses promote a circular economy for plastics, where the goal is keeping synthetic polymers inside the materials economy, instead of using natural resources to create new materials or losing polymers as waste. This is a holistic approach to tackling the plastic pollution problem and requires collaboration from many disciplines.
