Student Senate

Meet HPU's Senate, the legislative and oversight branch of SGA, where dedication drives change. As pioneers of campus progress, we prioritize student voices and enact impactful initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Executive Board and campus partners, we foster unity and inspire innovation.

The Student Senate serves to advocate for their constituents in their respective college or campus. The roles and responsibilities of an elected Senator include (but are not limited to):

Completing a minimum of four office hours per week
Meeting with respective staff bi-weekly
Organizing one Senator Initiative per semester
Being a part of at least one standing committee
Being the voice for their constituents

We encourage students to reach out via email and/or visit us during our office hours. Your input and engagement are essential as we work together to shape a campus community where every voice matters and every effort counts.

Interested in joining the Senate? Follow @hpu_sga on Instagram and keep an eye out in the early Fall and mid Spring for our semesterly elections. We also have rolling applications for Senators Ad-Interim who fill any remaining vacancies.
