Dr. Sharniece Pierce lives in Kansas City and works remotely as Director of Admissions and Assistant Professor of the developing OTD program at Hawai'i Pacific University.
With an occupation-focused lens, she is passionate about upper extremity rehabilitation, neurological conditions, burn rehabilitation, health and wellness, and the promotion of evidence-based practice.
Focused on professional development, Dr. Pierce holds several advanced certifications in lymphedema, applied functional science, personal training, strength and conditioning, myofascial decompression, kinesiotape, vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, and LSVT-BIG for the treatment of individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She plans to continue her commitment to advanced clinical practice and her pursuit of teaching excellence through continuing education and advanced academic degrees. Her professional leadership includes service as the Kansas Occupational Therapy Association’s Capitol District Co-Chair. She holds membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapy.
