Dr. Arevalo lives in Chicago, IL and works remotely as Part-time Lecturer of the developing DPT education program at Hawai'i Pacific University. Prior to HPU, Dr. Arevalo was owner of a private practice that served primarily children within Illinois’ early intervention program and older children in their home-setting. 

During her 22 years of clinical practice, Dr. Arevalo has served children with various disabilities, including cerebral palsy, rare genetic syndromes, spina bifida, autism, and developmental delays.  She is also a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. 

Dr. Arevalo is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1997.  She has served the physical therapy profession as a volunteer within the APTA Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy, and currently serves as the IL State Pediatric Advocacy Liaison (SPAL) for the APTA Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy.  

Dr. Arevalo has provided voluntary university and community services such as presenting at faculty forums, round tables, and guest lecture on topics about early intervention and cultural competency.  She has served as a presenter at national conferences and her work appears in peer-reviewed journals including Pediatric Physical Therapy.  Dr. Arevalo has authored a chapter within physical therapy for children textbook.
