Marketing Program Coordinator

Job Summary

This is a part-time student worker position. This role is responsible for deploying and managing promotions plans for University events and other initiatives. Promotions channels used will vary from project to project and may include social media (organic and/or paid), radio/podcast ads, online community calendars, Eventbrite, print collateral, and HPU-owned channels such as online calendars and email blasts.

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Familiarity with social media and other online promotions platforms  
  • Sharp copywriting and editing abilities 
  • A keen eye for detail 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and troubleshoot problems 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience launching and managing paid digital campaigns 
  • Graphic design skills 

Key Responsibilities

Third party-hosted content creation (60% of total job) 

  • Coordinate with design team to request any graphic images, headers, etc. needed for digital communications 
  • Draft and schedule organic social posts to promote event/initiative 
  • Set up and deploy paid social campaigns 
  • Create posts on Eventbrite and other community calendars 
  • Draft radio/podcast scripts 
  • Draft and schedule post-event recap social posts  

Print collateral management (20% of total job) 

  • Determine quantity and sizes of print collateral needed  
  • Coordinate with design team to determine design timelines and print lead time needed 
  • Send print jobs to appropriate vendors with appropriate specifications 
  • Coordinate delivery and handoff to appropriate partners 

Coordination of owned communications channels (20%) 

  • Draft and request web landing pages to serve as the destination URL for online promotions 
  • Send copy and images to owners of internal email blasts with request for inclusion (e.g. alumni blasts, student blasts, ʻOhana newsletter, HR newsletter, etc) 
  • Post events on HPU calendars
