Spring 2025: Graduate Visiting Student Course List

Graduate Visiting students must select courses from the pre-approved course lists provided below. Detailed instructions on how to register for courses will be sent to admitted students shortly after admission. If you have any questions, please contact visiting@hpu.edu.

For detailed course descriptions, visit the HPU Course Catalog. For more detailed syllabi information from past courses (e.g., Spring 2024), refer to this link. The course syllabi for Spring 2025 will be posted closer to the start of the semester.

Graduate students cannot enroll in undergraduate courses, and undergraduate students cannot enroll in graduate courses. Students may select courses from different colleges, but they must ensure that all enrolled courses are at the same level (either only undergraduate or graduate).

The deadline to register for Spring 2025 semester is December 15th, 2024.

Important Notes

Full-Time Enrollment Requirement

All international students must comply with U.S. immigration regulations, which require full-time enrollment. Graduate (Master) level students must enroll in a minimum of 9 credits.


Course Locations and Planning

· Campus Locations: DTC = Downtown Campus; WMC = Waimanalo/Makapu’u Campus. Plan for at least 60 minutes between classes at DTC and WMC.

· Meeting Days Abbreviations: M = Monday, T = Tuesday, W = Wednesday, R = Thursday, F = Friday. Courses listed as "TR" meet on both Tuesday and Thursday.


Instructional Method:

· F2F = Face to face, in-person class

· ONL = Online

· HYBRD = Hybrid of in-person and online class


Student Responsibility for Meeting Requirements

It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the courses they select meet the specific requirements of their home university and/or government funding agency. Each university has its own requirements and credit number conversions.
