HPU Scholars
HPU Scholars are opportunities for FALL 2027 admitted first-year students. Each offers a unique pathway for high-achieving students, from one-year living-learning communities in Engineering, Marine Science, and Nursing, to the three-year Global Business Scholars, leading to an accelerated B.S. in Global Business.
Students admitted as HPU Scholars are guaranteed housing for their first year, with priority placement on the third floor of the Harbor Lofts.
Priority consideration deadlines:

Scholars applications submitted by December 1st will receive a response no later than December 31st

Global Business Scholars
Benefits

Earn your B.S. in Global Business in three years (six semesters) instead of the typical four years

MARINE SCIENCE SCHOLARS

Nursing Scholars

Direct entry into the nursing program* – a benefit available only to Nursing Scholars. All other first-year students must apply to the nursing program during their sophomore year

Opportunity to take selected nursing courses (i.e. Transcultural Nursing and Special Topics in Nursing)

Receive an experiential introduction into simulation within the first two years

Psychology Scholars
