Programs and Activities

As a new student at HPU, we want you to experience as much as you can so you can be an active member of the community, make lasting relationships, and have a lot of fun. Below are the various programs and opportunities we offer new students and we highly encourage you to take advantage of the good times ahead!

Interested in getting to know a faculty member better? The engagement between students and faculty at the university level is much different than it was back in high school. Check out the Be My Guest program to learn about how you can take a faculty member and classmates to lunch for FREE!

The Office of First Year Programs and Residence Life collaborate on providing you a chance to explore the island in a casual setting! Go on a hike, explore shops on the North Shore, and many more opportunities. Seating is limited for each trip, so check out the schedule now to make sure you get a spot!

Get ready for some fun adventuring around Oahu! The Office of First Year Programs will be providing a range of activities that will allow you to really experience what it means to LIVE HAWAI‘I.

As a first year student, you will be assigned a Peer Mentor and Hānai volunteer. They are there for your support you in acclimating to HPU and Hawai'i, and providing you with resources you need to be successful.
