Dr. Black lives in Chandler, AZ, and works as the DPT Director of Student Affairs and Assistant Professor at Hawaii Pacific University.
Dr. Black is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy and has treated patients in acute and critical care settings throughout her career. She completed the Faculty Development Residency and the Teaching for Equity Fellowship at Duke University in 2019. Dr. Black has served as a presenter at state, national, and international conferences on topics related to education, acute care, and cardiopulmonary physical therapy practice. She currently serves the profession as the Chair of the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Specialty Council, Delegate for Arizona in the APTA House of Delegates, and the State Government Affairs Chair for APTA Arizona.
