Dr. Schwarz lives in Fort Worth, TX and works remotely as Associate Program Director, Assistant Director of Clinical Education, and Associate Professor in the DPT program at Hawai’i Pacific University. Prior to HPU, Dr. Schwarz was an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the DPT program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and served as the Treasurer for the Texas Consortium for Physical Therapy Clinical Education.

Dr. Schwarz is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Her clinical practice has been primarily in the outpatient setting in orthopedics and lymphedema, and she has also practiced in the post-surgical acute hospital setting.

She has served as a presenter and state, national, and international conferences on a variety of topics related to didactic, clinical, and interprofessional education and practice. In 2018, she was inducted as a Distinguished Scholar and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.
