The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council (PAAC), in partnership with the East-West Center, is seeking applicants to the 2027 Sister-State Study Tours Program with program commitments running from January through April 2027.  To be eligible, you must be a student at a Hawaiʻi public high school (this does NOT include Hawaiʻi charter schools).  Preference is given to 10th and 11th grade students.  One Student Ambassador will be selected from each Hawaiʻi public high school to participate in this leadership development program which will take you to one of Hawaiʻi's Sister-State destinations: Ilocos Norte & Ilocos Sur, Philippines; Jeju Island, South Korea; or Okinawa, Japan.  Applicants must be open to traveling to any of the Sister-State destinations and will pay no more than $500 to participate.  The program includes pre-travel workshops and orientation, international travel, group research paper, post-travel presentation to the community, and continued alumni engagement after returning back to Hawaiʻi.
