Step 1 - Activate your student portal

Your MyHPU username is sent via email upon acceptance.

If you did not receive an e-mail with your HPU username, please contact grad@hpu.edu for assistance.

Step 2 - Enrollment Deposit

A $200 enrollment deposit paid online at hpu.edu/deposit is required to secure your seat and activate course registration. The enrollment deposit will appear on your account as a credit. Military affiliated students planning to use VA education benefits, contact the HPU Veterans/Military Center at va@hpu.edu to request an enrollment deposit waiver. 

  • Students admitted to HPU's graduate online hybrid programs (Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant program) require a $600 supplementary program deposit. The $600 supplementary program deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the student's tuition and fees after drop/add registration has closed during the first term of enrollment.   • International Students - It is recommended that you complete your pre-arrival checklist for F-1 or J-1 student visas from the Office of International Students and Scholars prior to confirming your intent to enroll. You will need to provide them with a copy of your passport, statement of financial support and bank statements. If you have any questions, e-mail: i20@hpu.edu

Step 3 - financial aid and hpu institutional aid

We encourage domestic students to contact our dedicated financial services team Toll Free: 1-866-225-5478, Direct: (808) 544-0253 or financialaid@hpu.edu for information about financing your graduate degree as well as your specific financial situation. Information on Tuition & Fees, along with an estimated cost of attendance, can be found on our website. To explore sources for financial aid, we recommend that you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is the first step to determine eligibility for the Federal Stafford and Graduate PLUS loans. These and other loans can assist you with tuition and fees, as well as living and other education-related expenses. HPU Graduate Institutional aid consist of partial scholarships and graduate assistantships, more information can be found online at www.hpu.edu/gradscholarships

Step 4 - health clearance requirements

Review health clearance requirements on the university's registrar's webpage online HERE.

Hawaii Pacific University has partnered with MED+PROCTOR for the submission of immunization records.

Degree programs in NursingPhysical Therapy, occupational Therapy and Physician assistant have additional health clearance requirements for clinicals. Check with your program for details.

Step 5 - Registration

Course registration is made online via your student portal - my.hpu.edu. For step-by-step instructions on how to register for courses, click here.
It is recommended that you connect with your respective graduate program advisor for assistance with degree planning/course selection. To connect with your program advisor, click hereNote: Program advisors for the online graduate nursing, OTD, MMS-PA, DPT, MS in Product Management and MA in Health Communication programs will register students and provide course schedules.

Step 6 - Find textbooks

Purchase your textbooks and HPU gear at the HPU bookstore. Learn about HPU's Shark BUndle here.

Step 7 - Official transcripts and/or test score reports

Official transcripts and/or test scores must be ordered, issued and sent directly to HPU or a Centralized Application Service (CAS), e.g.: OTCAS, PTCAS, PSYCAS, CASPA, from the respective institution and/or testing agency. A hold will be placed on new students accounts if official transcripts/test scores are not received by the start of the entry semester. **HPU must be listed as the "Intended Recipient"**

HPU's school code is 4352 for GRE and TOEFL, VGJ-4Z-19 for GMAT and no school code is required for IELTS.


Step 8 - Housing information

Housing and Residence Life offers some On/Off campus housing options for graduate students. Please refer to On-Campus housing application deadlines.

Short term housing options are also available.
