Step 1 - create your Student Portal

You should have received your  MyHPU username via email upon acceptance. If you did not receive an e-mail with your HPU username, please contact grad@hpu.edu for assistance. To view step-by-step instructions for your first-time login, click here.

Step 2 - Enrollment Deposit

To secure your seat, we ask for a $200 enrollment deposit online at hpu.edu/deposit or your MyHPU Student Portal. The enrollment deposit will appear on your account as a credit and opens access to course registration. 

Doctorate of Physical Therapy students are also required to pay a $600 deposit online at hpu.edu/DPTdeposit, by February 1st. Students who receive admission after January 15th, must pay their deposits within 14 days of receipt of admission notification to secure their seat. 

Military affiliated students planning to use VA benefits, contact the HPU Veterans/Military Center at va@hpu.edu to request an enrollment deposit waiver. 

International Students

It is recommended that you complete your pre-arrival checklist for F-1 or J-1 student visas from the Office of International Students and Scholars prior to confirming your intent to enroll. You will need to provide them with a copy of your passport, statement of financial support and bank statements. If you have any questions, e-mail: i20@hpu.edu

Step 3 - Financial Aid Services

We encourage domestic students to contact our dedicated financial services team Toll Free: 1-866-225-5478, Direct: (808) 544-0253 or financialaid@hpu.edu for information about financing your graduate degree as well as your specific financial situation. Information on Tuition & Fees, along with an estimated cost of attendance, can be found on our website. To explore sources for financial aid, we recommend that you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is the first step to determine eligibility for the Federal Stafford and Graduate PLUS loans. These and other loans can assist you with tuition and fees, as well as living and other education-related expenses.

Step 4 - HEALTH Clearance requirements

  1. Review health clearance requirements HERE
  2. ​Complete the TB clearance and MMR immunization form (FORM D). State of Hawaii Department of Health TB Risk Assessment (Form G and Form F) must be attached to Form D if submitting a TB Screening/Risk Assessment. 
  3. Complete the TDAP, VCV, and VCV immunization form (FORM E).
  4. Submit completed forms to Med+ProctorHawai'i Pacific University has partnered with Med+Proctor for the submission of all immunization records.

Degree programs in Nursing and Physical Therapy have additional health clearance requirements for clinicals. Check with your program for details.

Step 5 - Registration

Contact your program advisor from your respective college to discuss degree pathway.**
Register for classes online via your student portal - my.hpu.edu*. For step-by-step instructions on how to register for courses, click here.
*Enrollment deposit must be made in order to activate web registration. 
**The following programs register for students and will provide you with your class schedule:

  •  Online Graduate Nursing - MSN, DNP and Post Master's Certificates.
  •  Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Step 6 - transcripts and test scores

Send or confirm receipt of your official transcripts and/or test scores have been received. To be considered official, transcripts must be issued/sent directly to HPU or a Centralized Application Service (CAS), e.g.: PTCAS, PSYCAS, CASPA, from respective institution and/or testing agency.

  • Send all final official transcripts to Admissions via electronic or postal mail.
  • Submit all applicable final official exam scores to Admissions. HPU's school code is 4352 for GRE and TOEFL, VGJ-4Z-19 for GMAT and no school code is required for IELTS.

Step 7 - housing

Housing and Residence Life offers some On/Off campus housing options for graduate students. Please refer to On-Campus housing application deadlines.

Short term housing options are also available. 

Step 8 -TextBooks

Purchase your textbooks and HPU gear at the HPU bookstore.
