HPU is proud to announce that HPU Professor and Director of Scholarship in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program-Honolulu (OTD-Honolulu) Jana Cason, DHSc, OTR/L, FATA, FNAP, FAOTA has been inducted into the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) College of Fellows.

"Being a member of the American Telemedicine Association since 2009 has been a meaningful part of my professional journey, and I am deeply honored by this recognition," said Cason.
Election to the ATA College of Fellows recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to telehealth, demonstrated service to the telehealth community, and advanced the mission of the ATA. Cason was inducted in the newest class of ATA fellows during the 30th Annual Nexus 2026 conference held on June 1 in Orland, Florida.
A nationally and internationally recognized leader in telehealth, Cason has dedicated more than two decades to advancing telehealth practice, education, and research. Her leadership within the ATA, extensive scholarship, and service as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Telerehabilitation have helped shape telehealth practice and education across disciplines.
Cason’s induction into the ATA College of Fellows reflects her significant contributions and longstanding commitment to advancing access to healthcare through telehealth.
