TESOL Working Paper Series 2024.
The TESOL Program, Department of English and Applied Linguistics, has recently published the 22nd volume of the TESOL Working Paper Series, a refereed, open-access, online journal.
This volume contains five research papers with implications for language teaching, and eight practical papers to address pedagogical problems with creative solutions. The research papers cover topics such as patterns of language use in authentic discourse and translation strategies for movie titles. The practical papers fall into two themes: using service learning to enrich language education and using AI to facilitate and stimulate language learning.
Contributing authors are current and former TESOL students at Hawaiʻi Pacific University (including one visiting student from Germany), as well as scholars and teachers in Vietnam and Pakistan.
Articles in the TESOL Working Paper Series are indexed on the JSTOR Open Access database and automatically indexed on Google Scholar. The TESOL Program thanks the HPU Libraries, HPU IT, and the Dean's Office of the College of Liberal Arts for their support.
