All HPU students will have the opportunity to register for unlimited Coursera Career Academy certificates.
Starting this fall, all HPU students will have the opportunity to register for unlimited Coursera Career Academy career pathway certificates. There are currently 29 certificates available from companies that include Meta, IBM, Google, and Salesforce. Certificates are 120 hours in length and students can take courses at their own pace.

Coursera career pathway certificates serve as valuable industry microcredentials designed to equip students with sought-after employment opportunities. These certificates offer a supplementary advantage to their degree programs, empowering students to expand their expertise across a diverse range of in-demand fields.
The HPU College of Business Administration received the Coursera 2023 'Campus Transformation Award'.
“Coursera Career Academy certificates were created to enhance education,” said HPU Dean of the College of Business Mark Rosenbaum, Ph.D. “These certificates will boost skills-based learning to ensure our students have a well-rounded perspective. The certificates are not meant to replace a traditional university education, but rather, they are provided so our students are job-ready and highly competitive in the workforce.”
HPU has achieved remarkable success in its inaugural year of collaborating with Coursera Career Academy. A total of 20,852 comprehensive lessons have been provided to an impressive audience comprising 1,769 HPU students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The average rating of these lessons stands at an outstanding 4.9 out of 5, reflecting the high-quality educational experience delivered. In terms of commitment, an impressive 7,450 hours have been dedicated to delivering these valuable lessons.
HPU was the first university in the world to partner with Coursera Career Academy in March 2022, and in April 2023, HPU’s College of Business Administration received the Coursera 2023 “Campus Transformation Award.” The award recognizes the University driving the most innovation to enable world-class education at scale.
