Natalie Ediger, Master of Arts in Strategic Communication.
Natalie Ediger is truly a global citizen: Hailing from Augsburg, Bavaria, in southern Germany, she speaks five languages and has studied or worked in Berlin, London, Seoul, Bali, New York City, and Honolulu. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international business management from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Ediger developed a passion for content marketing while working for a creative design agency and eventually decided to pursue graduate studies, researching programs worldwide. She was attracted to the unique features of the intercultural-focused Hawai‘i Pacific University MA in Strategic Communication program, seeing the opportunity to hone her writing skill while building experience in visual communication. Ediger first came to Hawai‘i in 2013 for a language program, and returning to Hawai‘i was a long-time dream come true. DAAD Germany, an academic exchange organization, awarded her a fully-funded scholarship to attend HPU. Ediger embraced the full spectrum of her experiences at HPU and the broader community, including completing her master’s thesis on the cultural adaptation of international students in Hawai‘i, working as a digital content creator for HPU’s advancement department, and giving back to her host culture through beach and community clean-ups.
