HPU will host an annual inaugural career conference in February 2024. Featured events at Aloha Tower Marketplace include a networking event, keynote, and a career fair. The keynote conference will feature HPU alumnus Quentin Koch, the CEO of Blue Hawaiian, Hawaiʻi’s largest helicopter and activity company.

Quentin Koch is a graduate of HPU, where he studied Travel Industry Management. He began his career at United Airlines while still a student at HPU. Over the course of 20 years with United, he held various positions, including Director of Sales and Marketing for Guam and Micronesia. In this role, he developed and implemented sales and marketing strategies for travel between Asia, the US mainland, and destinations such as Guam, Saipan, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Marshall Islands.

A diverse array of national and local employers will be present at the career fair, providing students and alumni with unique opportunities. Notable participants include Hawaiian Airlines, King Lunalilo Trust, FBI, FedEx, Peace Corps, Turtle Bay Hotel and Resort, U.S. State Department, UNIQLO, City and County of Honolulu, and various State of Hawaiʻi departments.

Employers will share information about a range of opportunities, including paid internships, part-time positions, and full-time job openings. Participants are encouraged to bring their resumes and be prepared for potential interviews. This event provides a chance to connect locally, fostering relationships with employers invested in the community and eager to tap into local talent. It is an excellent platform to make connections, gather information, and explore possibilities within different industries.
