International Business Professor Invited to Participate in US Department of State Meeting of Experts
Harm-Jan Steenhuis, Ph.D., College of Business Associate Dean and Professor of Management, International Business, participated in a virtual Meeting of Experts on Nov. 19 and 20. The meeting was organized for the United States Department of State by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on The Global Commercial Aviation Supply Chain.
The Meeting of Experts is a one-time gathering of selected experts and government officials to allow the latter to learn from the individual experts about relevant scientific and technical issues regarding a particular topic. Steenhuis was involved in the informal planning, participated in the event, chaired a panel on “Historical perspective: Why the commercial aviation industry is international,” and led a Q&A session. This activity coincides with the recent publication of a new paperback version of his co-authored book The Global Commercial Aviation Industry by Routledge Publishing (Taylor & Francis), https://www.routledge.com/The-Global-Commercial-Aviation-Industry/Eriksson-Steenhuis/p/book/9780367668754
