Jeff Harris Presented with Ke Kaukahi Award Honorable Mention

Jeff Harris, Manager of Maintenance and Security for Oceanic Institute (OI), has been with OI for about 35 years, working tirelessly to ensure the complicated facility of labs, pumps, and filters are operating efficiently and effectively for OI researchers and HPU faculty and students.

Jeff routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty, and this work ethic is reflected in a number of ways. For example, during extreme weather events, Jeff is the first person to survey the property to ensure that all persons and animals are safe.

He is passionate about the educational mission of HPU and the conservation and food security mission of OI.
