Facilities Department Recognized As Ke Kaukahi Award Winner

The Special Events and Recognition Committee, on behalf of the Staff Council, presented the Spring 2020 Ke Kaukahi Recognition of Excellence award to the Facilities Department. As the University shifted to online learning and remote work in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Facilities team worked on-site to maintain the campus. In the midst of rapidly changing health regulations, the team ensured the campus was safe for the HPU 'ohana to return, beginning in mid-May.     

The Facilities team is being recognized for utilizing innovative approaches to create effective safety measures. For example, they handmade all of the front-office plexiglass safety shields. The Facilities Department has successfully put in place enhanced health and safety measures as HPU looks forward to welcoming our students to an in-person, on-campus Fall semester.
