Student Services Center Manager Named

HPU has appointed Kelly Lucero Manager of the Student Services Center (SSC) effective Tuesday, Feb. 18. As the Manager of the SSC, she will collaboratively partner with key stakeholders, including the Registrar and the Director of Financial Aid, to establish best practices and provide necessary cross-training to the Center’s staff members. Additionally, she will serve as a liaison with Academic Advising, Admissions, and retention and student success initiatives to promote continuity of care for students.

Lucero brings to her new role valuable experience working with students in the University’s Career Development Center since 2016.    

The SSC, which opened in Fall 2020 with HPU’s new facilities at Waterfront Plaza, represents a new integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, registration, international studies, and study abroad. The principle of the center is to create a “single point of service.”
