HPU’s fall production of Women, a comedic play by Chiara Atik, wrapped up its run on November 10, 2024, at the University’s new Experiential Arts Space and Theatre at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Directed by HPU Theatre Director Emily Stapleton, the show received an enthusiastic response from audiences during the four-night run, marking a remarkable start for the new theatre space.
The modern adaptation humorously blends Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women with elements inspired by HBO’s Girls, delivering a fresh, contemporary take on the iconic characters. Audiences laughed at the witty dialogue and sharp humor, highlighting the timeless themes of friendship, ambition, and identity through a 21st-century lens.
The production featured a talented cast of 35 HPU students, supported by two dedicated alumni, displaying the depth of talent within the HPU Theatre program.
