New incoming freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for all available merit scholarships at the time of admissions. No separate application is required.
HPU offers competitive merit scholarships and other need and non-need scholarships/grants through the admissions process. FAFSA required for need based awards.
Continuing/returning students may receive their scholarships/grants in subsequent years based on the guidelines/restrictions of the awards. There are a number of donor funded endowed and annual scholarships that are generally for continuing/returning students and are awarded through an application process in the academic year. The Financial Aid Office will notify all continuing students when the application process is open and the deadline. This process is normally in the early spring term for the upcoming academic year. There are a few endowed/annual scholarships available for Graduate students as well.
