Show your Sharks Pride and participate in a variety of events and activities during HPU Fin Week (aka Spirit Week)! Show your spirit at athletic games, participate in the eSports tournament, come out to Shark Fest and jump around on an inflatable, or dunk your favorite Shark at the dunk tank! Students have chances to win prizes throughout the week! Also, be sure to grab the LIMITED EDITION Spirit Week pin, a collectible, at designated events!
Schedule of Events
Friday, February 1
• 11:00am-3:00pm Shark Fest at ATM Pier 9 Stage and Promenade
• Jump on an inflatable: Rock Climbing Wall, Bungee Run/Jousting, Bungee Trampoline, Wrecking Ball, Velcro Wall, Basketball Game, Batting Game, and Whack-A-Mole Game
• Dunk your favorite Shark in the Dunk Tank: HPU Staff/Faculty and SGA Senators
• Don’t miss the musical talents of HPU’s Mixed Plate, pep rally featuring HPU’s spring sports, and performance by our very own Dance Team!
• Catch HIRIE, a Kaneohe girl who now resides in San Diego, and her seven-piece reggae band at 1pm! She has supported Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid, Ziggy and Damian Marley, Iration, Tribal Seeds and many more. She will also be a featured performer this month in the Cayman Islands alongside Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, The Chainsmokers, and Magic!.
• Eat your way through Shark Fest and enjoy some nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, shave ice, and popcorn! First come, first served!
• Students may grab a light-up Shark headband, LIMITED EDITION HPU Fin Week pin, and other HPU giveaways! While supplies last.
• Stop by the Barnes & Noble bookstore at ATM wearing an HPU t-shirt or sweatshirt during Shark Fest and receive a free gift from Bartleby (while supplies last)!

Support your fellow Sharks and wear WHITE as they take on the Silverswords of Chaminade! HPU Fin Week t-shirts will be distributed to students with a valid HPU ID, while supplies last! We will also remember former basketball player, Kameron Steinhoff, during our 7th annual Kam’s Helmet event. Kameron passed away in 2011 after suffering a head injury in a skateboarding accident. Free bike and skateboard helmets will be distributed at halftime.
Tuesday, February 5

An improv comedy show coming to HPU! Providing “shots of reality” about consent and alcohol awareness with a comedic effect.

Halftime Hoops: Staff/Faculty Game
Support your fellow Sharks and cheer on your HPU Staff and Faculty in this fun, non-competitive basketball game during halftime of the men’s game!
Thursday, February 7

Healthy, quick, and easy EATs for your college budget! Join the Student Activities staff for a late night snacks food demo, free samples, and giveaways! Offerings are limited to the first 50 students with a valid HPU student ID.
• 6:00-8:00pm eSports Fornite Tournament in eSports Arena at ATM
Place top 5 in SOLO and receive a prize. Achieving a SOLO Victory Royale wins you a grand prize (while supplies last)! This tournament is FREE and includes food, drinks, and giveaways.
Friday, February 8
• 11:00am-2:00pm Slip N Slide at HLC Front Lawn
Slide into the weekend and end your HPU Fin Week on a slip n slide at the Hawaii Loa Campus!
• Pro Soccer at Aloha Stadium
Join HPU Campus Recreation as we cheer on the Professional Vancouver White Caps FC, Utah Royals FC, Waki FC & V-Varen Nagasaki soccer teams competing in a double header at the Pacific Rim Cup at Aloha Stadium. Register by Feb. 1st for FREE HPU student tickets and transportation to/from the games. Email campusrec@hpu.edu.
