GUEST SPEAKER: Nā‘ālehu Anthony, Chief Executive Director of ‘Oiwi TV, the Principal of Paliku Documentary Films, Director and Executive Producer of ‘Aha’i ‘Olelo Ola, Hawaiian Language news, Media Specialist and Crew Member of Hōkule‘a

 

TOPIC: The Role of Celestial Navigation, Canoe Voyaging, and Wayfinding in the 21stCentury

 

The event is open to all HPU Community members, especially students enrolled this semester in General Education courses focusing on Hawaii and the Pacific Curriculum Area. This event will be in a talkstory format, focusing on open interaction between the speaker and audience members, rather than a lecture-style presentation. No refreshments will be served, so please bring your own food and drink, if so desired.
