Casap’s talk centered around harnessing the power of technology to prepare a competent workforce. The objective of the conference was to connect leaders, educators, students, and innovators from across professions and industries to build strategic partnerships and continue to move Hawai‘i’s technology industry forward.

President Gotanda was also asked to participate in a panel at the conference titled, “Tech Workforce Competencies.” The panel addressed ways that organizations can prepare a workforce for today's jobs as well as jobs that have yet to be created through multidisciplinary skills, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and communication.

In addition to speaking at the conference, Casap also spoke to HPU faculty and staff at the University’s annual Professional Development Conference held on Wednesday, September 25, at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
