The Council on Social Work Education maintains that the profession of social work is committed to promoting human and community well-being. Social workers focus on social and economic justice at the local, national, and global level. They are often pioneers who challenge the status quo and work tirelessly to help others help themselves. Social workers have many options for specialization. You can choose areas such as: child or adult protective services, health care, mental health, individual and family counseling, criminal justice, or social agency administration.
