HPU has long recognized the importance of working professionals’ interest in earning a post-secondary degree. The University is currently partnered with over 30 organizations in Hawaiʻi, offering eligible employees a generous tuition discount to earn an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree. Eligible employees will also receive an application fee-waiver, personalized degree pathways, and full-time or part-time enrollment options.
Hawaiian Airlines is the newest organization to partner with HPU. The airline has been recognized with various awards over the years, including being named by Forbes as “Hawaiʻi’s Best Employer” in 2022, “Best Way to Travel the West” by Sunset Travel Awards in 2022, and "Best U.S. Airlines" by Travel + Leisure for 11 consecutive years.
In addition to being recognized as an excellent place to work, Hawaiian Airlines is also committed to giving back to the community.
Their “Team Kokua” program focuses on supporting communities in the areas of culture, education, environment, health and human services. Through this program, airline employees volunteer their time and resources to support various community organizations and initiatives.

The process of requesting a fee waiver code and verifying employment is quick and easy. Before long, Hawaiian Airlines employees will have the opportunity to earn a degree from one of the most diverse universities in the country, as well as the largest private university in Hawaiʻi.
