Campus Activities Board
About CAB
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a student-run organization that strives to enhance the Hawaii Pacific University student experience through quality entertainment, creative programming, and community involvement. CAB events provide an invaluable student perspective to life at HPU, strengthening bonds and inspiring a sense of belonging for all those within the HPU community. The experiences that CAB brings to HPU each year spark memories that students will keep with them forever.
The CAB Executive Board comprises the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Administration Director, Membership Director, Public Relations Director, and five (5) Event Coordinators. Board positions are appointed following an application and interview process, and Executive Board members serve one-year terms in their role. CAB Executive Board members are eligible to receive a scholarship.
The CAB Executive Board takes the initiative to plan year-round events from start to finish for the HPU community. These events range from large annual productions–such as Ohana Fall Feast, Destress Fest, and Da Shark Show–to smaller passion projects, which each Event Coordinator designs themselves.
Aside from positions on the Executive Board, CAB also builds a team of General Members from among the student body each semester. General Members earn points by helping host events in various ways, and these points can unlock sweet prizes at the end of the semester!
To connect with CAB, follow them on Instagram @cabhpu, keep up with the Sharky's Swells newsletter for their upcoming events, or just look for the blue shirts and smiles on campus.
