New Student Checklist
Step 1: Complete Pre-Registration Items
Welcome to HPU! There are several items to take care of before you register for classes.
Mail in the Intent to Enroll Form and $200 Registration Deposit
In your acceptance packet, there will be an “Intent to Enroll” form. Fill it out and return to the Office of Admissions along with your $200 Registration Deposit. You may pay by check, money order or pay online from the “eBill + Pay Bill” quick link on your Pipeline homepage. Your deposit will be credited toward your first semester tuition.
Note: Deposit is non-refundable after May 1st for Fall/Summer terms and after December 1st for Winter/Spring terms.
Submit Official Final Transcripts
Order and submit official transcripts from your high school/college and official AP/IB documents to be sent directly to the Office of Admissions. These documents should reflect your final grades and/or degrees granted.
Activate your HPU Pipeline Account
Activate your HPU Pipeline account. By accessing HPU Pipeline, you can use your HPU email account, view grades and transcripts, update personal information, check on your financial aid, access your class schedule, maintain a calendar, and receive information about campus activities and messages from professors, staff, and classmates.
Finalize Financial Aid, VA Paperwork, and/or Scholarships
For those receiving aid, you will receive an electronic financial aid award letter on your Campus Pipeline email address. It will instruct you to respond to your financial aid award.
Student who intend to use veteran benefit must notify their advisor at the time of registration so that we may assist you with your course certifications. For more information visit the Veteran's Benefit page.
If you are not receiving aid and would like assistance with paying your education expenses, check out the Tuition Management Systems at www.afford.com or 1-800-722- 4867, ext. 710. If this does not apply to you, skip this item.
Turn in Health Forms
Submit proofs of your Measles Immunizations & TB Clearance. We strongly urge all HPU students to purchase medical insurance. For more information, click on Health Care.
Residence Life & Off-Campus Housing
Do you know where you will live? If you want to live on the Hawaii Loa Campus, submit the Housing Application along with your housing security deposit by the designated date or contact Commuter Services for off-campus housing referrals. For more information visit the HPU Housing page.
