Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

TEAS® Requirement for Fall, 2016

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS®) is a computer-administered test consisting of 170 questions, multiple-choice, divided in four sections: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English.

TEAS® score is one of the requirements for applying to enter Level 1 Clinical Nursing classes. A deadline for this requirement will be set for each semester, and it will be announced on Pipeline as well as in this Web page. The TEAS® exam results are valid for one year. The highest TEAS® score will be evaluated for admission into the program, when more than one test is taken. If you are retaking the TEAS® exam, you must wait at least 30 days in between attempts. Students who take the test in a location different from HPU must purchase the transfer of their transcript through the ATI Web site, and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences must receive the scores by the set deadline February 1st, 2016.

Attention: All Pre-Nursing and Nursing Students who need to take the TEAS® (Test of Essential Academic Skills) as part of the eligibility process for Fall 2016 Level One Placement (NUR 2950-2971). Cell phones, cameras, calculators, or personal electronic devices are prohibited during the test. Do not bring large purses or backpacks into the testing room.
