- Computing overall material property of heterogeneous composites and its applications on liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs)

- Computing bounds on thermo-mechanical properties of heterogeneous material using extended Hashin-Shtrikman-Willis variational principle with third-order statistics
- Developing and implementing numerical integration on adaptive sparse grid using multivariate quadrature in the spherical coordinates in parallel

- Using micro computer tomography (micro-CT) and image processing software to produce tomographic data (supervising an undergraduate student)
